If you are looking for a way to get fitter, meet new people and see more of Somerset's wonderful varied countryside, the Somerset Walking club could be for you.

We organise walks every Sunday in different parts of the county, including Exmoor and the Quantock hills, the Blackdowns, Brendon hills, Mendips and Somerset levels, even venturing occasionally into Devon or Dorset. The length of walks ranges from 5 to around 12 miles, often rounded off (weather permitting) with tea and cakes at one of Somerset's many lovely tea gardens.

There are also social events and twice-yearly weekends away (spring and autumn), staying in comfortable guest houses/ hotels with guided walks each day.

I you don't have transport, lifts for the weekly walks can be arranged from the meeting point at Castle street car park in Taunton.

For further information please telephone 01823 322481.
